This holiday season, the famous château is inviting its visitors to set off on a tour of some Christmas tales as part of a new partnership with Natarom.
Once again at the Château de Vaux le Vicomte, Natarom has undertaken painstaking research to create and install a wonderful olfactory experience. The aim is to enchant visitors during the holiday season. In all, seven fragrance diffusers have been cleverly placed to create a typically Christmassy atmosphere, with recognisable fragrances such as pine trees or gingerbread. As soon as you enter the Château the smell of pine needles gives you the impression you are delving into a snow-covered forest. As you follow the path, on the doorstep of the gingerbread house, the sumptuous smells of sweets and gingerbread fill your nostrils. While from the kitchens, delicious scents of cinnamon, spice, mulled wine and fruit come wafting up.
Christmas delights for young and old alike at the Château!
Vaux-le-Vicomte at Christmas is a magical place - with an enchanted forest in the Grand Salon, real log fires in the hearths and wonderful Christmas lights in the gardens...
Children are swept up into a fairly-tale world of Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen and Charles Perrault and they too, just like the grown-ups, can enjoy the tour.
This year, Vaux-le-Vicomte pays tribute to Nicolas Fouquet (who was behind the building of the Château) by inviting Saint Nicholas to join in the party; he will be there all day long, telling children his story.
We really love... The giant, majestic, 8-metre high reindeer erected on the lawn by the château.
